The 33-story Promenade Tower Nelson Apartments just completed a two-year renovation

The transformation of a former Mitchell Lama building in northern Manhattan is complete, and the host of new amenities the developers had promised two years ago, can be seen in completed photos of the building, now renamed the Promenade Tower Nelson Apartments.

Nelson Management and L+M Development Partners purchased the 33-story building at 150 West 225th Street in Marble Hill [though officially part of Manhattan, Marble Hill is part of the Bronx landmass] back in 2013. Though the development is no longer a Mitchell Lama building, all the apartments here are rent stabilized.

As part of the renovation of the building, the developers added new elevators, and boilers, and redid the lobby, and the hallways. They also added a new set of amenities including an outdoor deck with lounge chairs, a pergola, and a children’s play area; a new laundry facility; a community room; and a two-story parking garage. A fitness center will open next year.

At present, the building has 318 apartments that come in a mix of one, two, and three-bedrooms. All of the apartments here come with outdoor space, and as part of the renovation, the units were fitted with stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops in the kitchen. Apartments vary in size between 650 square feet and 1,200 square feet. Three apartments are up for grabs on StreetEasy at the moment with prices ranging from $1,935 to $2,235 per month.

“With the renovations and new amenities, we are redefining affordable luxury living in New York City, with Promenade Tower Nelson Apartments as a prime example of our continued commitment to offer the best for our residents,” Robert Nelson, the president of Nelson Management Group, said in a statement.
