Senior Occupancy Manager

Ms. Young serves as Senior Occupancy Manager for two Section 8 housing properties in the Bronx and Yonkers. In this role, she is responsible for processing annual and interim recertifications and leasing vacant units. In her over twenty-year career, she has gained extensive training in and knowledge of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rules and regulations, as well as affordable housing programs such as Section 8/Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC). Ms. Young has extensive experience working with low-income, public and affordable housing agencies, brokers and landlords, as well as with community agencies in order to gain housing leads. She holds an associate degree in human services and an Assisted Housing Manager (AHM) certification. One of Ms. Young’s greatest passions is spending time with her family.
