New York, NY – Nelson Management Group Ltd., an owner/operator of residential housing in New York City, has started construction on the 309-unit Cathedral Parkway Towers, a $50 million residential development on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
The company will rebrick the building’s two towers in a project expected to take up to 18 months to complete.
Nelson Management Group’s team members include F.J. Sciame Construction Company as construction manager, with DNA Contracting and Waterproofing LLC serving as contractor and Superstructures Engineers & Architects as project Architect.
According to Nelson Mgmt . president Robert Nelson, the 29 year old development will receive structural improvements, a complete brick veneer skin job, waterproofing and a new roof.
Specific construction activity includes the preparation and installation of a new Tyvek vapor barrier to all back-up block, as well as the fabrication and installation of new, structural steel-bolted shelf angles. The contractor will install new, copper fabric membrane flashings, as well as a new, custom-fabricated, brick masonry veneer with state-of- .the-art wall-ties and fasteners. Additional project work includes .the rebuilding of all parapet walls, the fabrication and installation of new custom windowsills and coping stones, and the installation of new, cap sheet roofing.
The property consists of a 22-story tower at 424 Cathedral Parkway and a 12-story structure at 125 West 109th St.
