Nelson Management Group, Ltd. is a full-service Real Estate Management firm, specializing in the management of multi-family properties within the 5 boroughs of New York City. The principals of Nelson Management Group, along with its affiliates, have owned and/or managed more than 8,000 units of rental housing over the last 33 years. The staff at Nelson Management Group has managed thousands of rental units, all with the same care, vigilance and hands-on attention that have proven successful with our own portfolio of buildings. The firm is particularly adept in the ownership/management of Rent Stabilized, Section 8 and Mitchell Lama properties.
Nelson Management Group offer state of the art financial and account reporting systems, plus a legal tracking system to streamline arrears collections. We also have a team of renovation specialists who can assist in the complete remodeling of apartments or just renovating a kitchen or bathroom. Our renovation department provides services from design through construction and ensures quality, cost-effectiveness and value.
Finally, every rental property that comes to Nelson Management Group is analyzed and subjected to a “Critical Assessment Period” or “CAP” to determine a framework for dealing with all aspects of the building’s management. By the time the CAP is over, we know everything there is to know about a building and we are able to set up a customized “standard operating procedure” for the running of each individual building.

This division of Nelson Management offers construction and project management services for our buildings. We supervise the projects to ensure that services and materials are competitively bid and negotiated properly. We use only the most reputable contractors and track the jobs to make sure they are completed, on time, within cost and in complete compliance with the specifications and building code.
We have a team of renovation specialists who can assist in the complete remodeling of an apartment, or just the renovation of a kitchen or bathroom. Our renovation team provides services from design through construction and ensures quality, cost-effectiveness, and value.
Our insurance division has maintained excellent relationships with brokers and carriers. This enables us to provide our clients with expert advice, tangible savings, and a full understanding of the different policy types.
To the building’s owners that prefer Self Management we offer a full range of back office services that include collection of monthly maintenance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and monthly financial reporting systems.
